Retirement

I guess this blog is tainted with loads of negativity. Finally, I've came to a point where, I have nothing much to say about my life.

2003 till present, with small segments of breaks in between.
Finally. Thanks for accompanying this far. You will live in my memories.

Reef Check (it out)!

I'm counting down for the next 18 hours before I leave for Pulau Aur~ Yup, its diving again. Living the lifestyle I yearn for over this weekend, after my last dive one month ago. Not just that, I'm counting fishes, corals and all the underwater critters as well.

This time round, after getting the 2 main certifications, Open and Advance Open Waters, I embarked on my first marine conservation dive. It is not exactly a very direct conservation act like, picking up rubbish and removing crown of thorns (some starfish that feeds on corals), but it is sort of a Reef Check, where you take note of the biodiversity of the various categories of marine life. This is the 3rd year running and has somewhat became a yearly event. Some divers saw Mantas in Dayang in March! Pray hard I see one yeah?

New Phone

My V3X decided to die on me. So this is my new phone now...

On the whole, its performance is so much better compared to V3X. Better cam, better music. But hell, its totally 2 different generations of phones...

Funnily Contradicting

People do the same things for different reasons, same goes to Diving. Most do it for the 'love' of the Underwater World, but the definition of 'love' can stretch very far. Some just love to dive, taking it as a lifestyle. Some prefer to take it further and embrace the nature, being passionate about conservation.

I wouldn't stand up right away and claim that of myself. I'm half a greenie I supposed. By yet, at times, I do get a lil lazy. But what I feel most contradicting is that, a friend that introduced me to Diving, is not doing what he needs to do as one. Thinking aloud, I really find it pointless to be in his position, diving, when he himself can't be bothered about conserving what we are relying on. I find it plain dumb. All these personal agenda of his seemed to just boil down to enjoying and showing off. What's the point of preaching and showing off that you're a good diver with great buoyancy and yet eating sharkfins, and fishing for the fun of it. People tend to reply "If I don't eat/fish, the rest will still do, so I should just join in" and as long as this groupthink effect still goes on, there will never be the day where human will stop f**king themselves in their face.

We humans are so gonna kill ourselves slowly.

Post-exam rambles...

Whoosh. This very minute marks the end of my 2nd year in SMOOOOOO. Kind  of fast that it just zoomed past like that. And as usual, I failed to keep to my promise of making sure that I do my readings before every lesson.

I think it has become a cycle for the past 4 sems. Everytime into the holidays, I will promise that I will study hard, prepare for lessons, but when the term starts, I can't seem to do accomplish what I've set out to do.

But well, at least I've made almost full use of time this sem to juggle so many godamn things.

Next on the list, REEF ALERT~

2 DOWN, 1 MORE TO GO

I got owned badly by Tax and Corp. I think even direct diffusion of knowledge doesn't help anymore.
Left with my saving grace, Marketing. Let's pray hard that I can OWN this damn mod.
Pool session, ADEX, Reef Alert, Dive Trip, Volar, Primer, RBS. So many things lined up after Sat. Damn... really need time for myself to chill out.

AUTOPSY REPORT 9394-3414

I performed an autopsy on my own brain, BRAIN, at Singapore Management University CCA Room, Singapore, on 16 April 2008 at 0302 hours.

From the anatomic findings and pertinent history, i ascribe the death to:
OVERDOSE OF REDBULL and PROLONGED OVERNIGHT STAY IN CCA ROOM Due To Or As a Consequence of:

____________________________________________________
Anatomical Summary:

I. Overdose of Red Bull Energy Drink
a) Currently sold in all 7-11, at a promotional price of $4.50 for two cans ($2.80 per can originally)
b) High dosage found in brain (think it was poured in directly to achieve the best result)
c) Incompatibility between Red Bull Gold and Red Bull Silver, due to the switch after drinking the low quality Red Bull Gold.

II. Prolonged Overnight Stay in CCA Room
a) An estimated duration of 2 weeks (1 night in SMU is enough to prove fatality)
b) Amazing endurance of body immune system to SMU
c) Suspected main cause of stay from Final Examination by the indifferent 'Different' university
d) Discovered pieces of Corp Reporting notes and Income Tax Act in the brain - suspected to have stuff himself with these notes for direct diffusion into blood stream.

EXTERNAL EXAMINATION

The brain is well-developed at an age of 22, but found to be decomposing, probably due to a period of 2 years and 2 months of corrosive attack, backtrack to probably 2-3 years ago. Highly possible to be held in places with tight security. Green and Blackish creamy substance found to stain the brain as well. Minimal.

Routine studies were ordered.
